Meet Your Instructor: Gina Nemo

Gina Nemo is the founder and lead instructor of Ventura Actors Studio. She studied with the late legendary coach Peggy Feury (Lee Strasberg’s method) at the famous Hollywood “Loft Studio” — the same studio that trained Jack Nicholson, Sean Penn, and Nicolas Cage. She also trained under Nina Foch and Janet Alhanti in the 1980s.

An award-winning actress, Gina is best known for her iconic role on the original “21 Jump Street” series. She has appeared in numerous television shows, theater productions across Los Angeles and Europe, and has produced and directed television, documentaries, music videos, and major studio campaigns.

In her Thursday acting class in Ventura, Gina personally teaches this 6-week mixed-level course. Students of all ages and levels learn essential confidence building skills, scene study, and script analysis for theater, TV, and film. She shares real Hollywood insider tips on how to book roles and work on professional sets in television and film.

Students also get exclusive opportunities to join Gina’s future film and production classes. Ventura Actors Studio regularly welcomes guest instructors for special workshops, including upcoming film classes and casting workshops scheduled for Fall 2025.
